İhsan Ersan graduated from İstanbul Erkek High School and carried out extensive researches on English Banking System on 1974 and 1975. Afterwards, during the years 1980-1982, he worked as a researcher in Swiss Banking Institute in Zurich and became associate professor upon completing his thesis on “Foreign Transactions of Swiss Banks”. Afterwards, in 1996 he became professor doctor in finance with his thesis on “Future Transactions on Financial Transactions”. He published various international publications including “Euro-markets and Turkey”, “FX Management of Banks” and “Financial Derivatives”. He acted as programme coordinator and professor in the MBA and MS programmes of İstanbul Management Institute. İhsan currently lectures on “Future Transactions & Derivatives” and “Credit Derivatives” in the Banking Association of Turkey.

İhsan is the independent board member of Ege Gübre A.Ş. and is fluent in English and German.
