Derya Şahiner graduated from Saint-Joseph Private French High School Istanbul and received her law degree from Galatasaray University and LL.M. from İstanbul Bilgi University.

Upon completing her studies Derya started her career in one of Turkey’s leading law firms with a high reputation in banking finance. A Prior to co-founding GKS Legal Derya also worked in a leading Turkish bank which is a joint venture of a well-known French bank and provided legal advice to corporate banking, corporate institutional banking and subsidiaries.

Derya has a wealth of experience and expertise in banking finance, project finance, corporate and commercial law and capital market law.

Derya was admitted to the Bar in 2013 and is fluent in English, German (native language) and French.
